Same Game Parlays Are Mispriced Everywhere

Here's a tool to exploit it

Thank you for being a reader.

If you want visibility into all of my wagers — subscribe to my profile on Juice Reel: InsiderOB.

You’ll see all of my bets, including $2.5M of exchange action on Kalshi (!!).

I’m up $17,000 in November

Being Thanksgiving week, I’m sending the newsletter a day early and keeping it short and focused.

I want to teach readers about a crazy-valuable feature Juice Reel offers that will save you time and make you money: the ability to line-shop Same Game Parlays (SGPs).

SGPs have wildly different pricing.

I’ve written about line-shopping and gone deep on SGPs and their inconsistent pricing before.

Today, I’ll show you how Juice Reel supports comparing SGP pricing among many sportsbooks, and I’ll get loud about the fact Juice Reel offers this for free (!!).

Every other tool I’ve found charges for it.

I want you to get maximum value on your Turkey Day SGPs, and this makes it easy.

As always, we’ll look to keep winning and close with Thanksgiving Bets of the Week!

Let’s get after it.

Building an SGP in Juice Reel

I’m going to build, and then shop, the following 3-leg SGP for tomorrow’s Lions vs Packers game:

  • Leg 1: Lions Moneyline

  • Leg 2: Under the total points (48.5 at most books)

  • Leg 3: Jordan Love 250+ passing yards

First, I’ll open up the menu for the Packers vs Lions game and click the best option for betting the Lions moneyline.

This will expand a menu allowing me to either “Go to BallyBet” or “Add to bet slip”.

We’ll be repeatedly clicking “Add to bet slip” in order to build our parlay.

Here’s a visual for adding the first leg:

Click “Add to bet slip”

Once we’ve added the first leg, Juice Reel will display an orange bar at the bottom of the screen, denoting the best price for a bet or parlay (we only have one leg thus far).

We’ll move over to “Total Points” and click the “under,” again following this with “Add to bet slip”.

Here’s a visual of adding the second leg:

Now the orange bar at the bottom will show that our best parlay price for the first two legs is +218 (in the visual below).

Adding our final leg will require two steps. To begin, we will open the passing yards tab and scroll down to open the “Alternate” menu.

Here’s a visual:

Alternate lines are always at the bottom in Juice Reel

Last, we will expand the Jordan Love alternate lines, find “o249.5”, and again click “Add to bet slip”.

Last creation visual:

Alternate lines are listed from smallest to largest as you scroll.

We have now created our SGP, and the orange bar indicates our best price will be +1200.

Let’s move on to reviewing pricing between sportsbooks and place our bet.

Line Shopping and Betting SGPs in Juice Reel

SGPs can be priced very differently between sportsbooks, so there’s a ton of value in shopping for the best price - even more than straight bets.

For the SGP we’ve built, I’ll click the orange bar and can see the whole range of price offerings:

Of the books I reviewed, DraftKings and BetRivers are offering +1200 on this bet, while ESPN will give us a paltry +685. Betting on ESPN would cost us nearly half our money!

I can click “Autofill” on books that offer this functionality, or “Open App” on those that don’t, to take the last step of placing my bet.

Here are the outputs I see from auto-filling the best and worst books, respectively:

DraftKings loads the bet at +1200

ESPN pays way less AND has a worse line for the under!

That’s the whole shebang! (Also do not make this specific bet.)

While I don’t endorse SGP betting for beginning bettors, or anyone without an edge, I expect Thanksgiving to generate some “fun bets” and I’d like people to get max payouts when they do occasionally hit!

Bet(s) of the Week $$

Last week our winning ways continued!

We went 2-0, as Josh Allen never threatened to run in a TD, and both Pittsburgh and San Francisco easily covered their teased lines. We won two full units.

With that outcome, we’re at an all-time high!

Since starting the newsletter, bets in this section are up 24.03 units, with a positive 19% ROI. A $100 bettor would be ahead $2,403. We’ll update this regularly.

Based on my research, I am making the following bets this week:

  • Amen Thompson Over 7.5 Rebounds @+114 on BallyBet for 0.5 units (Tonight / Wednesday)

Thompson has cleared this line three-quarters of the time without Fred VanVleet and Tari Eason in the lineup (they’re out). The Rockets will also be playing without Steven Adams and Kevin Durant in this game, hopefully leading Thompson to be relied on heavily on the glass.

  • Ravens -7 @-105 on BetMGM for 0.5 units (Thursday)

I am laying 7 with the more complete, healthier team at home against a Bengals defense that ranks near the bottom of the league and is missing key pass-rush and coverage pieces. A just-back-from-injury Burrow, on a short week with banged-up weapons, has to keep pace with a Ravens offense that can bully them on the ground and hit explosives off play-action, which makes a multi-score Baltimore win better than a coin flip.

Next week we’ll continue our series on on prediction markets.
